On the electrochemical migration mechanism of tin in electronics

Electrochemical migration (ECM) of tin can result in the growth of a metal deposit with a dendritic structure from cathode to anode. In electronics, such growth can lead to short circuit of biased electrodes, potentially leading to intermittent or complete failure of an electronic device. In this paper, mechanistic aspects of ECM of tin are discussed in detail, using experimental results on ECM of tin in various environments and varying potential bias. Results on the formation of local pH changes by the electrodes and experiments observations are combined with thermodynamic stability of tin species as depicted in the Pourbaix diagram.     

Dye-sensitized solar cells: A brief overview

The aim of this brief review is to give a short and simple overview of the dye-sensitized solar cell technology from the working principles to the first commercial applications. It emphasizes the role of the sensitizer and the strategies to improve the performances of the dye as well as some recent development aiming to answer specific issues.

Power reduction using adiabatic charge method for PDP driver circuit

Abstract— By applying an energy‐recovery method to their driver circuits, the circuit power consumption of plasma displays can be reduced. However, further power reduction is necessary for large‐sized higher‐resolution displays such as used for Super HDTV. The ideal adiabatic charge method has been proven to be able to minimize circuit resistive element power consumption to 81 % of the conventional energy‐recovery‐circuit resistive‐element loss. An experimental pseudo‐adiabatic charge circuit that reduces the power consumption to about 90% of a conventional circuit has been demonstrated. The power consumption caused by both the resistance loss and the discharge loss of the switching‐element parasitic capacitances was analyzed.     

转炉除尘水水质稳定方法改进的探讨

抚顺新钢铁有限责任公司有45 t转炉3座,一次除尘是湿法除尘,实际运行过程中出现过较为严重的问题,管路堵塞,系统结垢,给生产造成很大的影响,经系统研究并采取具体措施,系统问题得以彻底的解决.文中主要介绍了针对实际问题结合炼钢工艺特点,进行分析探讨和采取的措施.     

利用SF6气体分解物对断路器运行状况进行诊断的方法探讨

个别SF6柱式断路器在运行中曾发出断续的声响,解体后发现声响原因为绝缘拉杆金属接头的轴销与轴孔产生悬浮电位,产生间歇放电并发出声响,导致轴销和轴孔腐蚀严重,甚至被腐蚀断裂.针对该类缺陷,曾利用特高频、声波、人工耳听等方法对在运设备进行诊断,但收效甚微,人工耳听还容易误判或漏判.笔者通过对一起SF6断路器拉杆轴销断裂故障...     

Design of Pipelined ADC Using Op Amp Sharing Technique

This paper presents a 10-bit 20 MS/s pipelined Analog-to-Digital Converter(ADC)using op amp sharing approach and removing Sample and Hold Amplifier(SHA)or SHA-less technique to reach the goal of low-power consumption.This design was fabricated in TSMC 0.18 μm 1P6M CMOS technology.Measurement results show at supply voltage of 1.8 V,a SFDR of 42.46 dB,a SNDR of 39.45 dB,an ENOB of 6.26,and a THD of 41.82 dB are at 1 MHz sinusoidal signal input.In addition,the DNL and INL are 1.4 LSB and 3.23 LSB respectively.The power consumption is 28.8 mW.The core area is 0.595 mm2 and the chip area including pads is 1.468 mm2.     

Electrical characterization and modelling of top‐emitting PIN‐OLEDs

Abstract— Positively doped, intrinsic, negatively doped organic light‐emitting diodes (PIN‐OLEDs) have been shown to exhibit high efficiency and a long lifetime compared to conventional small‐molecule OLEDs (SM‐OLEDs). The improved performance of PIN‐OLEDs makes them attractive for use in display applications. Knowledge of the electrical load exhibited by these devices is used to develop an equivalent electrical‐circuit model. Such models are used by circuit designers to assist with the precise design of active‐matrix‐display driver circuits used in such applications. In this paper, the development of a SPICE model for a top‐emitting PIN‐OLED stack is reported.
